Have your say on Council's Draft Prospect Hill Plan of Management

A draft Plan of Management incorporating a Landscape Masterplan has been prepared in alignment with the legislative requirements of the Local Government Act 1993, to guide the future management and development of the Prospect Hill open space area in Pemulwuy.

The primary objective of this Plan of Management is to guide the future management and development of Prospect Hill, while taking into account the cultural and physical significance of the site.

Aims of this Plan of Management are as follows:

  • To meet the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993 for management of community land and other relevant legislation;
  • Include clear and achievable management strategies that reflect Council’s corporate and planning goals and policies;
  • Reflect the values and desired outcomes of engagement with the Aboriginal community and local residents;
  • Identify and consider cultural heritage, environmental, open space and recreational values;
  • Determine priorities for future assets, embellishment works and maintenance requirements.

A public hearing is being held to confirm the inclusions within the draft Plan of Management and the community is invited to attend. Please register your details below.
