July 2024 Update:

All the submissions received had been reviewed by Cumberland Heritage Committee and endorsed by Council. The successful and unsuccessful applications had been notified. Council received overwhelming number of rebate applications this year. Thank you to everyone who provided a submission.


April 2024 update:

Submissions for Cumberland's Heritage Rebate program have now closed, and are being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who provided a submission.


March 2024 update:

Cumberland City Council is seeking applications for the Cumberland Local Heritage Rebate Program 2024-25. The program is part of Council’s efforts to raise awareness and promote heritage conservation within Cumberland City.

The rebate, up to $4,000 co-payment, is devoted to projects judged to benefit local heritage assets and chosen successsfully through an assessment informed by a set of criteria.

Submissions were open from Monday 4 March 2024 to Friday 12 April 2024. NOTE: Submissions have now closed.


To Submit Your Entry:

Submissions concerning the above are to be made by Friday 12 April 2024.

There are two ways you can lodge a submission:

1. Complete an online application form seen in document library.

  • Send one single document attachment attachment (up to 15mb) via email to Council@cumberland.nsw.gov.au with subject line ‘Local Heritage Rebate Program Application – Attn. City Planning and Development.

2. Post a completed copy of the relevant category application form to The General Manager, Cumberland City Council, PO Box 42, Merrylands NSW 2160  – Attn. City Planning and Development.
