Cumberland Playspace Upgrade Program

We're making improvements to parks across Cumberland City!

Illustration of children's playground in a city parkCouncil has now finished upgrading a number of parks as part of the Cumberland Playspace Upgrade Program. 

See below for updates of these parks:

  • Darmenia Avenue Park, Greystanes
  • Kulgun Park, Auburn
  • Munro Street Reserve, Greystanes
  • Whyman Park, Greystanes

 

The community consultation period ran from Tuesday 1 August 2023 until Tuesday 29 August 2023.  The proposed concept designs for all four parks can be found in the Document Library. 

Kulgun Park Auburn - July 2025 update

The upgrades to the playground in Darmenia Avenue Park, Greystanes are now officially complete. The upgrades include new play equipment, more seating and a shelter.

Darmenia Avenue Park - July 2025 update

The upgrades to the playground in Darmenia Avenue Park, Greystanes are now officially complete. The upgrades include new pathways, seating areas, garden beds and play equipment with softfall surfaces.

Munro Street Reserve - July 2025 update

The upgrades to the playground in Munro Street Reserve, Greystanes are now officially complete.

Whyman Park - February 2025 update

Work on the Whyman Park upgrade is now officially completed. The temporary fencing will be removed at the start of March.
