Cumberland Park Upgrades 2022

August 2023:

Upgrades are now complete, and all the parks are now open.


June 2023:

Construction is nearly finished on most projects, and we're excited to announce that the upgraded playspaces will open from early July 2023. However, before we remove the temporary fencing, we must complete testing and certification of the rubber softfall and play equipment to ensure safety.

September 2022 update:

Submissions have now closed for Cumberland Parks Survey and are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.


August 2022 consultation:

Cumberland has over 400 parks and reserves, providing a vast network of public open spaces for the community of Cumberland. Every year, Council conducts park improvement projects through various programs to meet the growing needs of our community.

Council is currently seeking feedback on the proposed designs for upgrades to these seven existing parks:

  • Bennalong Park, Granville
  • Chisholm Park, Auburn
  • Fraser Park, Auburn
  • Grandin Park, Lidcombe
  • Hassall Street Park, Westmead
  • Karabi Reserve, Merrylands
  • Morris Street Park, Merrylands

 

 

During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to complete the survey and submit their comments on the proposed options. The consultation period runs until Friday 16 September 2022.


To Make A Submission on the Proposal:

Submissions concerning the above proposal are to be made by Friday 16 September 2022.

There are three ways you can lodge a submission:

  1. Complete an online submission below.
  2. Email it to Council@cumberland.nsw.gov.au
  3. Post it to The General Manager, Cumberland City Council, PO Box 42, Merrylands NSW 2160.
