March 2023 update:
Council has finalised the evaluation of each expression of interest submitted and selected 15 successful candidates. All residents who submitted an expression of interest were contacted to advise of the outcome.
The first panel meeting will be held in May 2023.
Council would like thank each resident for taking the time to submit their application and for their interest in the Westmead South Planning work. We hope all will stay engaged ewith the project.
February 2023 update:
Council has reviewed all Expression of Interests that were submitted and will be finalising the panel members in the coming weeks. The date of the first panel meeting will then be decided.
December 2022 update:
Expressions of Interest have now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted an application.
October 2022 EOI:
Council is seeking Expression of Interests (EOI) from local community members to represent the local area in a Community Voice Panel on planning work for Westmead South.
The Westmead South Community Voice Panel is a coordinated representative sample of community members who agree to be consulted about the issues, topics and preparation of a Master Plan for Westmead South.
EOI applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Familiarity with Westmead South and Cumberland as a resident, business owner or worker.
- Representation of a range of perspectives from within the local community.
- Proximity of home or workplace to Westmead South.
- Ability to express views clearly and respectfully (language/interpreter support is available).
- A demographic mix that reflects the community.
If successful, you would play an important role in planning for the future of Westmead South by providing direct feedback to Council and help shape the draft Master Plan as its development progresses.

Submit your application using the submission form below, you must respond to the criteria during the application detailing the reason you are seeking appointment and any additional relevant skills, knowledge and experience. In addition, please submit a copy of a current resume.
Consideration, assessment and appointment of panel members is at the sole discretion of Council.
Note: Applicants are required to be aware that those ineligible to become panel members (and will not be considered) include:
- An elected Councillor or full-time Council employee of any council,
- A property developer within the meaning of section 96GB of the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981,
- A real estate agent within the meaning of the Property, Stock and Business Agents Act 2002.
Closing date: The closing date to submit an expression of interest was Wednesday 30 November 2022. This date has now closed and Council will not be considering any further submissions.
