Latest news on the Duck River Parklands Active Transport Link
June 2024 update:
Council engaged Dragonfly Pty Ltd to undertake bush regeneration works adjacent to the proposed Active Transport Link. Anticipated completion date June 2025.
September 2023 update:
Consultation on the proposed Duck River Parklands Active River Transport Link has closed, and feedback is now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.
August 2023 update:
Council is seeking community feedback on the proposed active transport link for Duck River, from Heath St to Horlyck Reserve Granville.
Guided by the Duck River Strategic Masterplan Council has prepared concept designs to formalise the pedestrian and cycling pathway from Heath St Granville to Horlyck Reserve in Granville. This connection will link into cycleway network along the Duck River Parklands with the Regional Active Transport network across Greater Sydney. This supports initiatives for an active and healthy community.
This project is part of the Metropolitan Greenspace Program that is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with Local Government NSW.

Council values the opinions and suggestions of the community and would appreciate your input on the proposed proposed active transport link for Duck River, from Heath St to Horlyck Reserve Granville.
We encourage you to download a copy of the draft Community Consultation Plans plan for review from our document library.
The consultation period runs from Monday 21 August 2023 to Monday 18 September 2023. During the community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their feedback. There will also be a pop up session where community members can discuss the Active Transport plans and ask questions. Submissions are open from Monday 21 August 2023 to Monday 18 September 2023.
