November 2023 Update

October 2023 Update
Cumberland City Council is giving notification of the proposed amendment to current year fees and charges for swim centres, being Guildford, Merrylands, Granville and Wentworthville swim centres.
At the Cumberland City Council meeting on Wednesday 27 September 2023, it was proposed that Council make changes to 4 swim centre fees for the 2023/24 financial year to further assist with accessibility, affordability and heat mitigation measures of Council.
The proposed changes are:
1. The free entry for ages 4 years and under be changed to 5 years and under.
2. Reduce the adult entry fee from $8 to $7.
3. Reduce the child entry fee from $5.90 to $5.
4. Reduce the family pass fee from $25 to $18
A reduction in some swim centre fees would allow for more affordable access to Council’s swim centres to assist with heat mitigation options.

The consultation period runs from Thursday 5 October 2023 to Thursday 2 November 2023. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to complete the survey about their thoughts on the proposed Revision to Swim Centre Fees and Charges in Cumberland. Submissions are open until Thursday 2 November 2023.
