New Kurung Reserve dog park with paved walking circle and seating

July 2024 update:

Work is finished and the Kurung Reserve Dog Park is open for use.


August 2023 update:

Council will be commencing work on the upgrade to Kurung Reserve in August 2023.

Work is expected to be completed by September 2023, weather permitting.The reserve will be partially closed from early August 2023 for upgrade works.

During the upgrade, various improvements will be made to enhance the park experience for dog owners and visitors. These include the installation of fencing for Dog off-Leash Area, furniture, Granite path, waste bin and landscaping.


May 2023 Update:

After reviewing submissions from the community, Council have updated the Kurung Off-Leash Dog Park Concept Plan. The updated Concept Plan can be found in the document library.


December 2022 update:

Consultation has closed on feedback for the proposed Dog Off-Leash Area at Kurung Reserve, Holroyd, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.


November 2022 consultation:

Council is seeking feedback on Concept Plan for a Dog Off-Leash Area at Kurung Reserve, Holroyd.

This location was selected from a list of proposed areas through previous engagement in 2020/21 on dog off-leash areas. The Park has been designed to provide a large enclosed area for dog owners to exercise their dogs off-leash.

During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to complete the survey and submit their comments on the proposed options. The consultation period runs until Monday 12 December 2022.

Submissions concerning the above proposal are to be made by Monday 12 December 2022.

There are three ways you can lodge a submission:

  1. Complete an online submission below.
