May 2024 update:

Expressions of interest for the Community Representatives to the Cumberland Local Planning Panel (CLPP) have been extended. Final date to make a submission is Thursday 16 May 2024. 

March EOI Period:

Cumberland City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest to nominate as Community Representatives to the Cumberland Local Planning Panel (CLPP).

Community members play an integral part in influencing development in the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) with their local knowledge of the area. We are looking for residents who live in the Cumberland LGA who are interested in being part of the CLPP in providing good development outcomes for the local community.

Submit your application using the submission form below, you must respond to the criteria during the application detailing the reason you are seeking appointment and any additional relevant skills, knowledge and experience. In addition, please submit a copy of a current resume.

Consideration, assessment and appointment of applicants is at the sole discretion of Council.

Salary: Members will be remunerated for attending panel meetings consistent with the remuneration determination for local planning panels approved by the Minister for Planning.

Note: Applicants are required to be aware that under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 those ineligible to become panel members (and will not be considered) include:

• An elected Councillor of any council,

• A property developer within the meaning of section 96GB of the Election Funding, Expenditure and Disclosures Act 1981,

• A real estate agent within the meaning of the Property, Stock and Business Agents Act 2002.
