July 2024 update:
The Planning Proposal for 25 South Parade, Auburn was endorsed by Council at the Ordinary Council meeting on 17 July 2024. Council minutes are available via Council’s website for reviewing and can be found here.
The final planning proposal is being prepared for submission to the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for finalisation and gazettal.
July 2024 update:
The Planning Proposal for 25 South Parade, Auburn will be reported to Cumberland City Council’s Ordinary Meeting on Wednesday, 17 July 2024 for finalisation.
The Council Meeting will commence at 6.30pm, and will be held at the Council Chambers, 16 Memorial Ave, Merrylands. The meeting will be live streamed on Council’s website from 6.30pm.
Council Meeting agenda and business papers will be available via Council’s website for viewing late this week, and can be found on Council’s website.
Persons wishing to address Council in relation to an item on the agenda must register by completing the registration form and emailing it to governance@cumberland.nsw.gov.au by 5pm the day before the meeting. In order to receive a response from Council in relation to the matter raised, contact details must be provided. The link can be found on the Council website.
Please note that proceedings are recorded and that three (3) minutes will be allocated for you to address Council.
It should be noted that whilst the meeting will commence at 6.30pm, it is not possible to say what time your matter will be heard.
May 2024 update:
The consultation on the Planning Proposal for 25 South Parade, Auburn NSW 2044 (PP2022/0004) has now closed and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.
March 2024 consultation:
The proposal seeks to amend the Cumberland Local Environmental Plan (CLEP) 2021 to include additional permitted uses of a medical centre and office premises, and a maximum building height of 11m, at 25 South Parade, Auburn.
On 18 October 2023, Council resolved to endorse the Planning Proposal and its submission to the Department of Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure for a Gateway Determination. In January 2024, a Gateway Determination was issued for the proposal.
The Planning Proposal was on exhibition online from Tuesday 26 March 2024 to Wednesday 1 May 2024. During this time, we encourage you to view the exhibition material in the document library on this page and have your say.
