Laneway off Baker Street Merrylands - Proposed Road Closure

The consultation for the proposed closure of the laneway off Baker Street Merrylands is now closed. Submissions are now being reviewed.


December 2022 update 

Baker Street MerrylandsNotice is given that Council that proposes to proceed with the dedication of a laneway as a public road under s.16 & s.17 and upon dedication proceed to close the council road & eventual sale via public auction identified as the Laneway off Baker Street, Merrylands NSW 2160, in pursuance of the provisions of the Roads Act 1993.

The subject section of laneway adjoins four (4) properties: 2 Baker Street, known as Lot 5 Sec 2 DP 1260, 220 Woodville Road, known as Lot 1 DP 650014 and 222 Woodville Road, known as Lot 5 DP 128532, 224 Woodville Road, known as Lot 6 DP 128532.

The Proposed Road Closure of the Laneway off Baker Street Merrylands is on exhibition from Tuesday 6 December 2022 to Wednesday 25 January 2023. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal. Anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the proposal must do so in writing by 5pm Wednesday 24 January 2023.
