Joseph Street Precinct Upgrade

Following the adoption of the Lidcombe Town Centre Public Domain Plan, Council has prepared concept plans to transform Joseph Street Precinct.

Cumberland City Council is progressing plans to revitalise the Joseph Street Precinct in Lidcombe, following the adoption of the Lidcombe Town Centre Public Domain Plan. The project will deliver more public space, improved streets, and a welcoming environment with outdoor dining opportunities, new tree canopy, public art and upgraded street furniture.

Lidcombe Town Centre is identified in Cumberland 2030: Our Local Strategic Planning Statement as a Principal Local Centre supporting housing, jobs, services and community facilities. The Joseph Street Precinct Upgrade will create safer, more accessible and visually appealing public spaces that support local businesses and enhance community life. There will be some disruptions while works are underway. Council will keep the community informed through regular updates.
