Trade Up to a Better Future Discovery Day

Our Trade up to a Better Future - Try a Trade Discovery Day in November 2023 was a great success. Thank you to everyone who attended, and especially those who presented and ran the activities on the day.

Check out a video of highlights from the day in our video gallery.

The project aims are to:

1. Determine and address the barriers faced by women from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including newly arrived immigrants and those on refugee and humanitarian visas in participating in training pathways and employment in the trade sectors.

2. Provide education and solutions to dismantle these barriers within these communities and support individuals who wish to pursue careers or employment in the trade sectors.

3. Educate and collaborate with local businesses and employers on the benefits of promoting equality of opportunity, diversity of talent and workplaces free from gender discrimination.

4. Be a safe and trusted source for the local community to obtain information and referrals to the resources and services available from local organisations, educational institutes and State and Federal government to facilitate a stronger and more inclusive economy.
