Auburn Basketball Centre Project – Construction Update

We’re excited to share that the Auburn Basketball Centre Project has reached a major milestone and is now moving into the delivery phase.

Grindley Construction Pty Ltd has been awarded the construction contract, with works scheduled to commence in late July to early August 2025. Construction is expected to take approximately 14 months, and all works will be undertaken in accordance with relevant regulations, approvals, and safety requirements.

Location: Wyatt Park, Auburn

Scope of Works includes:

• Minor demolition works and the removal of nominated trees.
• Realignment of a portion of the existing Basketball Centre access road from Church Street
• Construction of new dedicated indoor Basketball Centre and associated landscaping, along with the reconfiguration and upgrading of the car park and access road to the south of the existing Parramatta Basketball Association Centre.

Council remains committed to the successful delivery of this facility and will provide regular updates as construction progresses.
