Maley Park - Playspace Upgrade

We're proposing improvements to Maley Park and we want your feedback!Illustration of children's playground in a city park

Every year, Council conducts park improvement projects through various programs to meet the growing needs of our community. Council has prepared a draft concept and has asked the community for feedback on the proposed design for Maley Park.

The proposal includes planning a range of upgrades to improve access, inclusivity, and play opportunities for everyone. This includes a new entry from Palmer Street, along with feature planting and upgraded park fencing. A new network of accessible paths will connect Robertson Street and Palmer Street to the playspace and other park features. The main playspace will be refreshed with new equipment, softfall, and a shade structure, while keeping the existing brick edging. We’re also proposing a junior play area, a nature play zone, a new picnic shelter with seating, and retaining the existing swings. Existing park fencing and access gates will also be upgraded.

The community consultation period ran from Monday 3 November 2025 until Monday 1 December 2025. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal. The proposed concept design can be found in the Document Library.
