July 2024 consultation:
Council invites you to have your say and share your experiences of past storm events and ideas for managing flood risks.
As mandated by the NSW Government, Council is undertaking an overland flood study encompassing the Duck Creek, A'Becketts Creek, and Duck River catchment areas. This includes suburbs such as Granville South, Granville, Regents Park, Guildford, Auburn, Merrylands and Chester Hill.
As a first step in the process, Council is seeking information from residents and owners on your experiences of past storm events and ideas for managing flood risks. This information will assist Council in better understanding local issues that can be considered in the preparation of the overland flood study.

Residents, property owners and business operators are invited to share your experience of past storm events and ideas for managing flood risks by completing the feedback form below.
By completing the on-line survey, we will gain a better understand for your preferences for the flood management in the area.
This feedback will be used to assist Council to prepar the draft Overland Flood Study. We will be accepting feedback until 5pm Friday 16 August 2024.

There were two pop-up stalls for those interested in finding out more information about the draft Duck River, Duck Creek and A'Becketts Creek Catchmet Areas Overland Flood Study, which were held on the following dates:
- Thursday 1 August 2024, 4pm - 5.30pm, Eric Tweedale Stadium
- Thursday 1 August 2024, 6pm - 7.30pm, Auburn Town Hall

Council values the opinions and suggestions of the community and would appreciate your input in our flood study.
We encourage you to complete the online survey or questionaire located in the document library.
Please note providing contact details is optional but will assist us in identifying where flooding problems have been experienced and to contact you if we need to clarify any of your responses.
If you choose to provide contact details, this information will remain confidential at all times and will not be published. Furthermore, we will not contact you unless you would like us to do so.
Submissions concerning the above are to be made by 5pm Friday 16 August 2024.
