Work is about to commence on the next stage of the Merrylands Town Centre Infrastructure Upgrade. Drainage works have been completed to Pitt and Neil St and it is pleasing to see the upgrade coped with the recent heavy rain events. Drainage and infrastructure upgrades in the Main Lane area are well underway and also coped with the recent rain events.

The next phase of works occurs in Merrylands Road between Addlestone Road and Cambridge St. Drainage lines will be upgraded to better cope with heavy rain. Works will include new stormwater pipes, pits and services upgrades. Works will commence in late April and should take around 4 – 5 months depending on weather. Road disruptions will occur mainly at night, but belays can be expected. Notification boards will be placed on the approaches into Merrylands at convenient locations.
