It is important that we plan for the future of Cumberland

Draft Cumberland 2030: Our Local Strategic Planning Statement sets out directions for Council’s planning for Cumberland, including housing, transport, employment, public spaces and parks. It has been prepared to provide strategic direction and a coordinated approach to effectively manage growth and development in the Cumberland area. It sets a land use vision and structure plan, and identifies priorities and actions to support the vision. The Statement is also aligned to the Greater Sydney Commission’s Central City District Plan.

The Draft Cumberland 2030: Our Local Strategic Planning Statement will inform the preparation of the new Cumberland Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plan (DCP). It also complements the strategic directions and priorities outlined in Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
