Have Your Say on Council's Draft Civic Park and Pendle Creek Landscape Masterplan.

In 2019, Cumberland City Council consulted with the local community of Pendle Hill to find out how Civic Park is being utalised and general community aspirations for the park to inform a Draft Landscape Masterplan. Based upon the feedback received, council has drafted a Masterplan that details the redevelopment of Civic Park, Pendle Hill and the adjacent Pendle Creek wetland area.

The draft design shows:

  • An upgrade and rationalise the park to identify spaces and uses for passive recreation, play and social gathering, and to revitalise the creek area providing overall enhanced public open space.
  • The design will leverage the natural features of the park to provide respite from the urban surrounds

Benefits of the upgrade:

  • Social benefits to the community
  • Improved aesthetics of the streets
  • Better access to and around the shops
