We're proposing improvements to parks around Merrylands and we want your feedback!
Every year, Council conducts park improvement projects through various programs to meet the growing needs of our community. Council has prepared draft concept plans to gather your feedback on the proposed designs for the following parks in Merrylands:

King Park
The proposal includes an upgrade and expansion of the existing playspace, featuring a variety of play equipment to support children of all ages and abilities. Additional improvements include new picnic settings, planting, and park furniture to enhance the overall park experience.

Moore Park
The proposal includes an upgrade of the existing playspace with a range of inclusive play equipment. The upgrade also features new park fencing, connecting footpaths, and additional seating to improve accessibility and comfort.

Oxford Park
The proposal includes the creation of a new woody meadow, a diverse planting of native flowering species trialled at Kibo Reserve, Berala. This initiative will enhance biodiversity, provide urban cooling, and create an urban sanctuary.The park will also be upgraded with sensory and nature play elements, as well as a traditional play offering.

Young Park
The proposal includes a new playspace in a new location within the park. The playspace will feature a range of inclusive play elements. Additional features include new park fence, garden beds and new park furniture.
The community consultation period runs from Tuesday 14 October 2025 until Tuesday 11 November 2025.
During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal. The proposed concept designs for designated parks can be found in the Document Library.
