Consultation has closed on the proposed extension for of the public carpark along the Ballina Street frontage of Bathurst Street Park, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.
May 2022 consultation:
Cumberland City Council is considering the extension of the public carpark along the Ballina Street frontage of Bathurst Street Park.
This will provide an additional 35 carparking spaces to the existing carpark, which is currently 28 spaces.
Bathurst Street Park is the home ground of Greystanes Football Club. Currently Ballina Street experiences restricted vehicle movements due to the road width and parking of park users (within the roadway) during peak periods of park use, especially on days with home games.
This proposal will facilitate vehicle movement adjacent to the carpark and provide much needed parking outside of the current roadway.
We encourage you to download a copy of the proposed extension for review from our document library.
During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their feedback. The consultation period runs from Tuesday 10 May to Tuesday 17 May 2022.
