At the Council meeting on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, Council adopted a new suite of Integrated Planning and Reporting documents. These documents will guide how Council provides leadership, plans for the future and makes decisions about services and resources.

The Community Strategic Plan can be seen below, and all the suite of Intergrated Planning and Reporting Plans and Strategies can be viewed on the Council website.

May 2025 update:

Consultation has closed for the Draft Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Plans and Strategies, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.


May 2025 consultation:

Council is seeking feedback for the future of Cumberland, and we need your input on the Draft Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) plans and strategies.

  • Draft Community Strategic Plan (CSP) 2025-2035
  • Draft Delivery Program (DP) 2025-2029
  • Draft Operational Plan (OP) 2025-2026
  • Draft Fees and Charges 2025-2026
  • Draft Asset Management Strategy (AMS) 2025-2035
  • Draft Asset Management Policy
  • Draft Workforce Management Strategy (WMS) 2025-2029
  • Draft Digital Strategy (DS) 2025-2029
  • Draft Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP) 2025-2035

These draft plans and strategies set out the long-term vision, priorities, resourcing and direction for Cumberland, guiding decision making and service delivery over the next decade.  We encourage you to download a copy of these plans and strategies from our document library. 

The consultation period runs from Thursday 1 May 2025 to Wednesday 28 May 2025, providing an opportunity for the Cumberland community to review the draft plans and strategies and share their feedback.


About the Draft Integrated Planning and Reporting Plans and Strategies

Why does it matter?

The IP&R Framework requires Council to prepare long-term strategic plans and strategies that reflect the community’s vision and priorities. These plans and strategies guide long-term decision making, service delivery, asset and workforce management and financial efficiency, ensuring Council operates in a sustainable and accountable manner.

How will my feedback be used?

Your feedback will ensure the full suite of IP&R plans and strategies meets the needs of the Cumberland community. All community input received will be reviewed, with final documents presented to Council for adoption on Wednesday 18 June 2025.

How can you get involved?

We encourage you to download a copy of these plans and strategies and submit your feedback at council@cumberland.nsw.gov.au

Next Steps

Following a review of all submissions, necessary adjustments will be made before presenting to Council for adoption.

Anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the plans and strategies must do so in writing by 11pm Wednesday 28 May 2025.

Submissions concerning the Draft Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Plans and Strategies are to be made by 11pm Wednesday 28 May 2025.

There are three ways you can lodge a submission:

  1. Complete an online submission below.
  2. Email your submission to Council@cumberland.nsw.gov.au, quoting Ref #CE0291
  3. Post your submission to Council
