Due to the unforeseen circumstances works to complete the new stormwater infrastructure under Addlestone Rd near the intersection with Merrylands Road will be delayed and are expected to be completed by the end of May 2024 (subject to weather).

The following works have been completed:

• Precast Stormwater culvert sections have all been installed
• Temporary water main required to allow final culvert construction has been constructed awaiting Sydney water connection
• Merrylands Road has been re-opened to traffic
• Services to the West of Addlestone Road have been uncovered
• Stormwater lines East and West of Addlestone Road are almost complete
• Preparation for the final Water Main construction is underway

The following works are still to be completed:

• Final Water Main diversion and connection
• Completion of Sydney Water connection points to allow fencing on Merrylands to be removed
• Diversion of services discovered on the Western side of Addlestone Road
• Completion of Culvert and headwall when services relocations are complete
• Construction of a new Pedestrian Crossing, kerbing and guttering to improve pedestrian safety
• Re-asphalting of the Addlestone Road Carpark
• Final road restoration and site demobilisation
