July 2022 update:
Consultation has closed on the Proposed Service Agreement for Linwood House, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who completed our survey.
Cumberland City Council, as Trust Manager of the Linnwood Estate (R1031568) Reserve Trust and Tamplin Road (R1031588) Reserve Trust (Council) at the Linnwood Estate and Tamplin Road Reserve proposes to grant a 5-year Service Agreement to Friends of Linnwood (ABN 29 898 374 838), in respect of the land located at part Lot 1, DP 169485 and Lot 1, DP183017 known as Linnwood House, as part of Linnwood Estate, Byron Road, Guildford NSW.
Under Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, notice is given that Cumberland City Council, as the Trust Manager of the Linnwood Estate (R1031568) Reserve Trust and Tamplin Road (R1031588) Reserve Trust (Council) at the Linnwood Estate and Tamplin Road Reserve proposes to grant a 5-year Service Agreement to Friends of Linnwood (ABN 29 898 374 838), for the purpose of managing the Linnwood House (for the use of rooms, cellar, grounds & overflow parking area), being the land compromised as Lot 1, DP 169485 and Lot 1, DP183017 known as Linnwood House as part of Linnwood Estate, Byron Road, Guildford NSW, depicted in red in the map in the image gallery.
The Service Agreement includes the following:
- Promote the history of the Linnwood Estate.
- Promote Linnwood Estate as a community asset.
- Conduct Friends of Linnwood Member Meetings.
- Conduct fundraising to permit the Friends of Linnwood to undertake activities.
- Conduct Open House Days and guided tours.
- Receive, catalogue and display donations.
- Enhance the presentation of Linnwood.
- Conduct reunions for past Lynwood Hall residents.
- Report security matters, vandalism or need of repairs to the Linnwood Estate to Council.
- In consultation with Council, apply for grants to assist in funding heritage works in accordance with the Conservation Management Plan Linnwood Estate 2020.

The Proposed Service Agreement of Linnwood House is on exhibition from Tuesday 7 June to Wednesday 6 July 2022. During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal. Anyone who wishes to provide feedback on the proposal must do so in writing by 3pm Wednesday 6 July 2022.
