Expressions of interest are now open to join the Sydney Central City Planning Panel.
The panel is made up of five members. Three members including the chair are appointed by the Minister for Planning. Two members are appointed by Cumberland City Council. We are seeking, qualified, experienced and independent planning experts to apply as alternate members for the Sydney Central City Planning Panel.
About the Sydney Central City Planning Panel
In New South Wales, district and regional planning panels provide independent, merit-based decision making on regionally significant development proposals. For more information about Planning Panels, see the NSW Planning Portal.
Skills and experience
We are seeking qualified, skilled, and experienced experts who have the ability to assess regionally significant development proposals against relevant planning instruments and legislation. Cumberland City Council’s representatives must have knowledge of the Cumberland area and planning issues. They must have the ability to act independently and demonstrate planning expertise.
Selection Criteria
- Senior level experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders
- High level communication skills
- Capability to drive outcomes for high profile projects in a credible and authoritative manner
- High level analytical skills
- Knowledge and assessment of complex development and planning matters
The Expression of Interest period runs from Thursday 14 November to Thursday 12 December 2024.
