Draft Cumberland Gender Equity Strategy 2026 - 2030

Draft Cumberland Gender Equity Strategy 2026 - 2030

Cumberland City Council is giving notification of the draft Gender Equity Strategy now on public exhibition for 28 days.

Cumberland City Council is developing a Gender Equity Strategy to improve fairness, safety, economic opportunity and participation for women and girls in our community. Gender equity means everyone has access to the opportunities and resources they need to thrive. We want to hear from local residents about their experiences, priorities and ideas so the Strategy reflects real community needs.

Now we want your feedback!
Council values the voices of our community and is inviting residents to share their thoughts on the draft Gender Equity Strategy. Your feedback will help shape meaningful actions that support gender equity across Cumberland.

The consultation period runs from Thursday 12 March 2026 until Monday 6 April 2026. During this consultation period, residents are encouraged to have their say by completing the feedback form below. Submissions close Monday 6 April 2026.

Community members can also speak with Council staff at our pop-up session:
Thursday 12 March 2026, 10am – 3pm at The Granville Centre Art Gallery.

Your feedback is essential in helping Council understand community needs and shape a Strategy that supports women and girls to feel safe, included and able to participate fully in community life.
