Smart Places Strategy and Action Plan

Cumberland is already on our way to becoming a smart place in and around the Granville Centre precinct.

Parking sensors installed at various locations across Cumberland. Council has worked with relevant partners to incorporate standards that enhance disability inclusion in smart technology.

Granville Library offers programs & courses for residents aged over 50 who want to improve digital literacy & confidence using digital technology. Computer classes & digital learning drop-in sessions for seniors are also available at Auburn library, no bookings required.

Understanding of water flows to inform the smart management of storm water for future use in cooling and greening of precinct and to assist manage urban heat.
