Consultation has concluded

Public exhibition of the draft plan provides an important opportunity for members of the community to have a say in the future management of Wyatt Park. The Plan of Management has been developed in accordance with the principles of the Crown Lands Act 2016 and Local Government Act 2005 and provides the community, sporting groups and Cumberland Council with a clear direction and framework on the future use and management of the Park.

    Wyatt Park is a 23 hectare parkland and is home to the Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre, Lidcombe Oval, Auburn Youth Centre, Cumberland Basketball Centre, Parramatta Auburn Netball Association and PCYC. The Draft Plan of Management for Wyatt Park identified a range of new facilities including new playgrounds, a skate park, learn-to–ride bicycle track, barbeque and picnic facilities and a new Youth Centre and multipurpose rooms. The Plan also proposes the upgrade of existing amenities buildings, improve accessibility and connectivity for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles to and from, and within the Park and improve through security through better surveillance, lighting and park activation. New tree and shrub planting is also proposed to make this a sustainable natural and green open space area.
