Draft Wyatt Park Plan of Management

Changes to the Crown Land Management Act 2016 have required the current review of and amendments to the Draft Wyatt Park Plan of Management.

A Plan of Management for Wyatt Park is currently in development in accordance with the principles of the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and Local Government Act 1993 and provides the community, sporting groups and Cumberland Council with a clear direction and framework on the future use and management of the Park.

Further consultation with Key stakeholders is expected in early 2020 to finalise the Wyatt Park Vision and Landscape Masterplan.

    Wyatt Park is a 23 hectare parkland and is home to the Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre, Lidcombe Oval, Auburn Youth Centre, Cumberland Basketball Centre, Parramatta Auburn Netball Association and PCYC. The Draft Plan of Management for Wyatt Park identified a range of new facilities including new playgrounds, a skate park, learn-to–ride bicycle track, barbeque and picnic facilities and a new Youth Centre and multipurpose rooms. The Plan also proposes the upgrade of existing amenities buildings, improve accessibility and connectivity for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles to and from, and within the Park and improve through security through better surveillance, lighting and park activation. New tree and shrub planting is also proposed to make this a sustainable natural and green open space area.
