Council has adopted a Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy. It provides a strategic approach to waste management, that supports the Cumberland community to reduce waste, encourages resource recovery and ensures clean public spaces. It shows Council's commitment to leading by example and making improvements to waste and resource recovery services. You can view the adopted strategy below or by clicking here.

A draft strategy was co-developed with the community between January 2018 and September 2018, consisting of focus groups and an online survey.


Council asked for feedback on the draft strategy in September and October 2018. Four submissions were received. The response to these submissions can be found by clicking here.
