March 2022 update:

Consultation has closed on the planning proposal request for 2-10 Victoria Street East, Lidcombe, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.


March 2022 consultation:

Council invites you to have your say on a request to reclassify land at 2-10 Victoria Street East, Lidcombe with adjoining land. The proposed site is indicated in the map below:

The proposal seeks to reclassify an existing Council owned underground drainage easement (outlined red) from ‘community land’ to ‘operational land’ by amending the Cumberland LEP 2021. This will enable the existing landowners to purchase the land from Council and develop the site and continue with the current ongoing land uses. Community land cannot be sold or developed.

The planning proposal is on exhibition online from Wednesday 2 March 2022 to Tuesday 22 March 2022. During this time, we encourage you to view the exhibition material in the document library on this page and have your say.


To Make A Submission on the Proposal:

Submissions concerning the above proposal are to be made by Tuesday 22 March 2022. Please include PP2022/0001 as the submission reference.

There are three ways you can lodge a submission:

  1. Complete an online submission below.
  2. Email your submission, quoting Reference PP2022/0001, to Council@cumberland.nsw.gov.au
  3. Post your submission,  quoting Reference PP2022/0001, to The General Manager, Cumberland City Council, PO Box 42, Merrylands NSW 2160.
