April 2021 consultation:

Cumberland City Council is giving notification of the Draft Pensioner Rebate Policy. The revised Draft Pensioner Rebate Policy has been developed to harmonise voluntary rates rebates.

The Policy includes the revised voluntary rates rebate amount of up to $25 for all eligible pensioners. Council will continue to honour the higher $100 rebate amount only for those former Parramatta ratepayers who were eligible to receive the higher amount as at 30 June 2021.

Previously, the former Holroyd City Council offered 5,088 pensioners a $15 rebate. Auburn City Council’s 2,934 pensioners received no additional rebate. These rebates are in addition to the legislated $250 a year rebate set by the state government.

We encourage you to download a copy of the draft policy for review from our document library.

During this community consultation period, the residents are encouraged to submit their comments on the proposal. Feedback is due by Tuesday 11 May 2021.
