Nominations for Local Heritage Committee extended

Consultation has concluded

Council is currently seeking expressions of interest from people interested in participating as a member of one of three local heritage committees for the western, central, and eastern areas of our Local Government Area (LGA); Holroyd, Granville and Auburn.

The role of Local Heritage Committee members is to provide advice and help inform the recommendations formed by the Cumberland Heritage Committee (the advisory committee of Council) on matters related to the promotion and appreciation of heritage within the LGA.

The Cumberland Heritage Committee was established in early 2018 to assist in the development of programs and events that encourage restoration and maintenance of heritage properties while promoting Cumberland’s heritage to the broader community.

Nominations have been extended to Friday 19 October 2018.

Nominees must live or work within the Cumberland LGA.

All previous nominations for the local heritage committees remain valid and will be considered. Therefore, previous nominees do not need to re-nominate.
