Draft Voluntary Planning Agreement and Revised Draft Development Control Plan for the Merrylands East Neighbourhood Centre, Woodville Road, Merrylands

Cumberland Council invites public comments on a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (draft VPA) and a revised draft Development Control Plan (draft DCP) for land at 244-264 Woodville Road, 2-12 and 14-16 Lansdowne Street and 19 Highland Street, Merrylands (Site). Please refer to the figure below for the subject site.

Council is progressing a planning proposal, which seeks to rezone the Site from part B6 Enterprise Corridor and part R2 Low Density Residential to B4 Mixed Use under the Parramatta Local Environmental Plan 2011.

The draft VPA and draft DCP for the Site add detail to the planning proposal, and are currently on exhibition. Following completion of the public exhibition, a report will be provided to Council outlining any issues raised during the exhibition, and any proposed changes, prior to the planning proposal, draft DCP and draft VPA being finalised.

The public exhibition period will commence on Wednesday 26 June 2019 and conclude at 11.30pm on Wednesday 24 July 2019.
