Sister City and Friendship City Policy

Consultation has concluded

Council has adopted a Sister City and Friendship City Policy. It provides an overarching framework for Council in defining and establishing any ongoing formal civic relationships within Australia and internationally. You can view the adopted policy below or by clicking here.

Council asked for feedback on the draft policy in May and June 2019. One submission was received in support of the policy, highlighting that it provides an opportunity to establish closer international relations and promotes development across major policy areas such as culture and arts, tourism and youth exchange.
