September 2022 update:

Consultation has closed on the Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-2026, and submissions are now being reviewed. Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback.

August 2022 consultation:

Council has created its Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-26 to ensure, as far as possible, that people with disability have full and equal access to the facilities, programs, services and information that Council provides on an equitable basis without facing discrimination or barriers.

Our previous action plan (2017-2021) set forth strategies to positively shape Council practices to ensure greater inclusion of people with disability, carers and families. Our new plan builds on that, and what we have learned over the past four years, plus the survey and focus group held in February and March earlier this year.

Now we want your feedback!

We encourage you to download a copy of the draft strategy for review from our document library.

During this community consultation period, residents are encouraged to submit their feedback. Submissions are open from Tuesday 23 August until Monday 19 September 2022.
