Council has prepared a consolidated plan that sets out the application of development contributions to support local growth infrastructure across the Cumberland area.

The purpose of the plan is to establish a policy framework for the program of works and future land acquisitions identified in the plan, as well as the administration of contributions collected under sections 7.11 and 7.12 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

The program of works outlined in the draft plan relates to growth infrastructure associated with community facilities, open space and recreation, public domain, traffic and transport.

The draft plan applies to all land within the Cumberland Local Government Area and, if adopted, will supersede existing contribution plans that apply to land within Cumberland, including:

  • Auburn Contributions Plan;
  • Holroyd Development Contributions Plan;
  • Pemulwuy Contributions Plan (excluding undeveloped land); and
  • Parramatta s94a Contributions Plan.

The plan is not retrospective and, if adopted, will only apply to new development applications received from the date of public notice.

Council, at its meeting held 18 September 2019, resolved to publicly exhibit the Draft Cumberland Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan for a period of 28 days.
