Have Your Say on Council's Draft Civic Park and Pendle Creek Landscape Masterplan.

In early 2020, Cumberland City Council consulted the local community to find out how Civic Park is being utilised and the general community aspirations for the location to inform preparation of a Draft Landscape Masterplan. Based on the feedback received, Council has drafted a concept plan that details the revitalisation of the Park and the adjacent Pendle Creek wetland area.

The concept design intends to upgrade and rationalise the park with spaces and uses for passive recreation, play and social gathering, and to revitalise the creek area providing overall enhanced public open space. The concept design has incorporated feedback received during the initial consultations earlier in 2020. The design leverages the natural features of the park and waterway to provide respite from the urban surrounds.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

The project is open for submissions from Monday 11 May to Monday 15 June 2020.

Phone sessions rather than face to face meetings have been arranged mindful of the current public health guidelines, in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and to keep people safe.
