Public Exhibition – Planning Proposal - Minimum lot size provisions for dual occupancies

Consultation has concluded

Cumberland Council invites public comment on a council initiated Planning Proposal amending minimum lot size provisions for dual occupancies. The proposal has been prepared in response to the NSW Government’s new mandatory Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code.

Council has received an approval from the NSW Department of Planning and Environment to release the proposal to increase the minimum dual occupancy land area for a public consultation.

The Planning Proposal seeks to amend the Auburn Local Environmental Plan (Auburn LEP 2010) and the Holroyd Local Environmental Plan (Holroyd LEP 2013) by:

  • introducing 600m2 minimum lot area provisions for development of dual occupancies in the R2 Low Density Residential and R3 Medium Density Residential zones of the Cumberland local government area.
