Have Your Say on Council's Draft Concept Plan to upgrade New Glasgow Park.

Cumberland Council is proposing to upgrade New Glasgow Park to improve access to and the overall use of the park.

As part of the proposed upgrade Council is delivering a new children’s playground.

Council is also considering adding the below features:

  • Seating and shelters
  • Extension of the shared cycle path through the park with low bollard lighting
  • Upgrades to the roadside fencing

Benefits of the upgrade:

  • Social benefits to the community
  • Increased utalisation of the park
  • Better access to and around the park
  • More recreational activities for young people and families

How can the community's input help shape New Glasgow Park?

Feedback from the community will play a vital role in the finalisation of the concept plan as well as the aesthetics and activities of the park.

We want your feedback on the proposed extension of the shared cycle path with low bollard lighting, upgrades to the roadside fencing and the seating and shelters to ensure the enhancements meets the needs of the wider community.

Next steps

Council is planning to undertake the playground works in early 2019. Additional works will performed in the future following the completion of the Duck River Corridor Masterplan and Plan of Management.
